TRUST

AUTHENTICITY

"Doubt yourself and you doubt everything you see. Judge yourself and you see judges everywhere. But if you listen to the sound of your own voice, you can rise above doubt and judgment. And you can see forever." --Nancy Lopez

"What the superior man seeks is in himself; what the small man seeks is in others." --Confucius

If we truly believe in our "authentic" self, then we have no "need" to seek validation from others.  We have known, all along, what is true and good within us.

Authentic: true to one's own personality, spirit, or character; genuine.

Am I leading an "Authentic" life? Being true to my OWN personality? spirit? character? Am I being "genuine?"

GOALS

"If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things." --Albert Einstein

"Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in whch we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act.  There is no other route to success." --Steve A. Brennan

"What we see depends mainly on what we look for. " --John Lubbock

"Shoot for the moon.  Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars." --Les Brown

"Goals help you channel your energy into action." --Les Brown

ATTITUDE

Your Attitude + Your Choices = Your Life

New Week + A Great Attitude = Unlimited Opportunity

"Happiness is an attitude.  We either make ourselves miserable, or happy and strong.  The amount of work is the same." --Francesca Reigler

"Make your optimism come true." --Unknown

"I don't think of all the misery but of the beauty that still remains." --Anne Frank

"The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes." --William James

COURAGE

At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want." --Lao Tzu

"A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step." --Lao Tzu

I'd rephrase that with: Experiencing the best that life has to offer, begins with one small step.

"Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear." --Ambrose Redmoon

"Courage is never to let your actions be influenced by your fears." --Arthur Koestler

"Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway." --Susan Jeffers

"You have to find something that you love enough to be able to take risks, jump over the hurdles and break through the brick walls that are always going to be placed in front of you. If you don't have that kind of feeling for what it is you are doing, you'll stop at the first giant hurdle." --George Lucas

NAMASTE

Namaste....I salute the Divine within you, I salute what you do best. I salute your natural gifts. I honor your uniqueness and your specialness.

I just love that definition.....Namaste!

SUCCESS

"Success:  To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.  This is to have succeeded!"  --Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm."
--Winston Churchill

"The most important single ingredient in the formula of success is knowing how to get along with people." --Theodore Roosevelt.
"There are countless ways of attaining greatness. But any road to reaching one's maximum potential must be built on a bedrock of respect for the individual, a commitment to excellence, and a rejection of mediocrity."-- Buck Rodgers, IBM
"I dread success. To have succeeded is to have finished one's business on earth, like the male spider, who is killed by the female the moment he has succeeded in courtship.  I like a state of continual becoming, with a goal in front and not behind.  --George Bernard Shaw

"Success or failure depends more upon attitude than upon capacity. Successful men act as though they have accomplished or are enjoying something. Soon it becomes a reality. Act, look, feel successful, conduct yourself accordingly, and you will be amazed at the positive results." --William James

SPIRITUALITY

INTENTION

"Act the way you'd like to be and soon you'll be the way you act." --Dr. George Crane

"The smallest good deed is better than the best intention." John Wooden

“Some men seem to attract success, power, wealth, attainment, with very little conscious effort; others conquer with great difficulty; still others fail altogether to reach their ambitions, desires, and ideals.  Why is this so? Why should some men realize their ambitions easily, others with difficulty, and still others not at all? This cause cannot be physical, or else the most perfect men, physically, would be the most successful.  The difference, therefore, must be mental – must be in the mind; hence mind must be the creative force, must constitute the sole difference between men.  It is mind, therefore, which overcomes environment and every other obstacle in the path of men.”  – Charles F. Haanel

"Acquire peace of mind by making the effort to become the best of which you are capable." --John Wooden

ONENESS

If we are ALL "ONE" why do we continue to find ways to separate ourselves from each other.  black, white, jew, christian, leftie, rightie, blond, brunette.  Aren't we all "human?"

"All people are a single nation." --Qur'an

DREAM

"Man alone has the power to transform his thoughts into physical reality; man alone can dream and make his dreams come true." --Napolean Hill.

NEVER GIVE UP!

"All the breaks you need in life wait within your imagination. Imagination is the workshop of your mind, capable of turning mind energy into accomplishment and wealth." --Napoleon Hill

KINDNESS

Practice random acts of kindness and senseless acts of beauty

Today, give a stranger one of your smiles. It might be the only sunshine he/she sees all day.

It's a Wonderful Life...do you let the people who touch your life in positive ways know?

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.- Leo Buscaglia

Why do we have such ease with giving criticism or passing judgment but such difficulty with giving praise?

"When we wish and seek to help others, our attitude is more positive and relationships become easier. We are less afraid and have less anxiety. Otherwise we remain shy and hesitant, and feel the need to take a thousand precautions before we approach people. When our intentions are good, we have greater self-confidence and are stronger. This is how we learn to understand how precious and valuable kindness is."  --Dalai Lama

"Treat people as if they were what they ought to be, and you help them to become what they are capable of being."  --Goethe

"You cannot do a kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late." --Ralph Waldo Emerson

THOUGHTS

"Your beliefs become your thoughts. Your thoughts become your words. Your words become your actions. Your actions become your habits. Your habits become your values. Your values become your destiny."
--Gandhi

Our beliefs create our thoughts. Our thoughts create our actions. What are your beliefs? Do they foster growth? positivity? health? strength? Do they foster a life filled with joy and happiness? Do they help others? The beliefs you create, support and maintain and the thoughts that ensue will either strengthen you and the world around you or diminish you and those around you. Choose the positive!

"You need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select your clothes every day. This is a power you can cultivate. If you want to control things in your life so bad, work on the mind. That's the only thing you should be trying to control." — Elizabeth Gilbert

"Man, alone, has the power to transform his thoughts into physical reality; man, alone, can dream and make his dreams come true." --Napoleon Hill

"Tell yourself frequently 'I will only react to constructive suggestions.' This gives you positive ammunition against your own negative thoughts and those of others." ---Jane Roberts

"Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny." --
Lao-Tze

"Don't take anything personally. Nothing other people do is because of you. It is because of themselves." --Don Miguel Ruiz
