Positive Assumptions

Here's a challenge for us all....

The next time you are with someone or see someone and they say or do something and you IMMEDIATELY "assume" the worst, or something negative.....ask yourself WHY YOU ASSUMED THE NEGATIVE???? someone looks at you strange and you think "Boy, they hate me." WHY do you assume that???? Is it possible that their "look" was positive? some involuntary facial thing? a response to something or someone other than you? some other explanation OTHER than negative? WHY DO WE ASSUME? WHY, when we assume, is it NEGATIVE???? What is the risk, if any, to ASSUME POSITIVITY???????

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” --Marianne Williamson

“You may believe that you are responsible for what you do, but not for what you think. The truth is that you are responsible for what you think, because it is only at this level that you can exercise choice. What you do comes from what you think. ” --Marianne Williamson

“"Nothing binds you except your thoughts; nothing limits you except your fear; and nothing controls you except your beliefs.”

"We can always choose to perceive things differently. You can focus on what's wrong in your life, or you can focus on what's right." --Marianne Williamson
