Positive Assumptions

Here's a challenge for us all....

The next time you are with someone or see someone and they say or do something and you IMMEDIATELY "assume" the worst, or something negative.....ask yourself WHY YOU ASSUMED THE NEGATIVE???? someone looks at you strange and you think "Boy, they hate me." WHY do you assume that???? Is it possible that their "look" was positive? some involuntary facial thing? a response to something or someone other than you? some other explanation OTHER than negative? WHY DO WE ASSUME? WHY, when we assume, is it NEGATIVE???? What is the risk, if any, to ASSUME POSITIVITY???????

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” --Marianne Williamson

“You may believe that you are responsible for what you do, but not for what you think. The truth is that you are responsible for what you think, because it is only at this level that you can exercise choice. What you do comes from what you think. ” --Marianne Williamson

“"Nothing binds you except your thoughts; nothing limits you except your fear; and nothing controls you except your beliefs.”
― Marianne Williamson

"We can always choose to perceive things differently. You can focus on what's wrong in your life, or you can focus on what's right." --Marianne Williamson

Your Power

YOU have the POWER, the CAPACITY, the ABILITY to change your THOUGHTS and BELIEFS and your REACTIONS to people and things. YOU HAVE CHOICES

Did you ever notice that you have the power and capacity to CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS in a instant! Think about it....as you read this message you are not thinking of other things....if I say...think of an Elephant in a swiming pool...what happens.....you think of an Elephant in a swiming pool......so IF you have that power and capacity....CHOOSE THE POSITIVE THOUGHTS. When a negative one comes in....choose a positive one to replace the negative. You can't think of two things at the same time....CHOOSE THE POSITIVE! Keep at it until it becomes so natural you don't even know what a negative thought is.

HEY THERE! .....

Do you really realize just how powerful and influential you are?
Do you????
In any given moment YOU affect at least one other person!!!!....
He/she in turn affects at least one other person and so forth.
As a result, for example, your smile today and/or act of kindness and/or words of encouragement could bring about a HUGE change in the universe...
YES! YOU ARE just that powerful.
Please...Make each moment count and spread POSITIVITY for yourself and for the universe!!!

Beliefs, Thoughts & Choices

1. What do you BELIEVE?

2. Realize the power of your BELIEFS

3. What do you THINK?

4. Realize the power of your THOUGHTS

5. What do you CHOOSE?

6. Realize the power of your CHOICES

Your Choices

YOU have the POWER, the CAPACITY, the ABILITY to change your THOUGHTS and BELIEFS and your REACTIONS to people and things. YOU HAVE CHOICES

"You can have anything you want if you are willing to give up the belief that you can't have it". - Robert Anthony

Anything is Possible

As you "think" about your life and your being and ALL that you are....ask yourself "What do I want?" Realize that ANYTHING is possible. Remove the doubt, the skepticism, the denial...YOU have the power to CHANGE your circumstance(s).....Break down your goals into tiny, manageable steps and the DO them...ONE AT A TIME...Take that first step...it's small but significant...you CAN do it. Remove the doubt, the skepticism, the denial...YOU CAN...YOU MUST....YOU WILL.

Dream....Believe....Achieve!

I'm reading Jill Bolte Taylor's "My Stroke of Insight" If you have not read this book yet, I highly recommend it. She is a neuroanatomist (brain specialist) who at the age of 37 experienced a significant stroke to her left hemisphere (left side of her brain). From the moment it began she saw its POSITIVE side and was amazed at what was happening to her and what she was experienced. As she recovered she continued this POSITIVE perspective and her recovery took 8 years! From that she has learned and shows us that we each have the CAPACITY and POWER to CHANGE OUR THOUGHTS.....WE HAVE CHOICES as to what to think and how to BE. Great inspirational book.

Rose Colored Glasses

How many of you out there walk around with "dark, gloomy, negative" glasses...you know the ones that cloud your vision and show you only the negative, the bad stuff in the world...put a dark vision to all that you see? Take them off.....burn 'em. Get out your "Rose Colored Glasses" and put them on instead. See the world from a more POSITIVE view....it will paint your world in a POSITIVE "rose colored" light and give you that new perspective.

"The stupid neither forgive nor forget; the naive forgive and forget; the wise forgive but do not forget." --Thomas Szasz.

“Forgiveness is not about forgetting. It is about letting go of another person's throat......Forgiveness does not create a relationship. Unless people speak the truth about what they have done and change their mind and behavior, a relationship of trust is not possible. When you forgive someone you certainly release them from judgment, but without true change, no real relationship can be established.........Forgiveness in no way requires that you trust the one you forgive. But should they finally confess and repent, you will discover a miracle in your own heart that allows you to reach out and begin to build between you a bridge of reconciliation.........Forgiveness does not excuse anything.........You may have to declare your forgiveness a hundred times the first day and the second day, but the third day will be less and each day after, until one day you will realize that you have forgiven completely. And then one day you will pray for his wholeness......” --William P. Young (The Shack)

"We grow great by dreams. All big men are dreamers.
They see things in the soft haze of a spring day or in the red fire of a long winter's evening. Some of us let these great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nurse them through bad days till they bring them to the sunshine and light which comes always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true " --Woodrow Wilson

"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing." --Helen Keller

"Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step"Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

"All men and women are born, live suffer and die; what distinguishes us one from another is our dreams, whether they be dreams about worldly or unworldly things, and what we do to make them come about... We do not choose to be born. We do not choose our parents. We do not choose our historical epoch, the country of our birth, or the immediate circumstances of our upbringing. We do not, most of us, choose to die; nor do we choose the time and conditions of our death. But within this realm of choicelessness, we do choose how we live." Joseph Epstein

"When I examine myself and my methods of thought, I come to the conclusion that the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than my talent for absorbing positive knowledge."--Albert Einstein

"We seem to be going through a period of nostalgia, and everyone seems to think yesterday was better than today. I don't think it was, and I would advise you not to wait ten years before admitting today was great. If you're hung up on nostalgia, pretend today is yesterday and just go out and have one hell of a time." --Art Buchwald

"I would be true, for there are those who trust me;  I would be pure, for there are those who care; I would be strong, for there is much to suffer; I would be brave, for there is much to dare.” --Howard Walter

“People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.

A true soul mate is probably the most important person you'll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a... soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then leave.

A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life, then introduce you to your spiritual master...” --Elizabeth Gilbert

“I’m here. I love you. I don’t care if you need to stay up crying all night long, I will stay with you. There’s nothing you can ever do to lose my love. I will protect you until you die, and after your death I will still protect you. I am stronger than Depression and I am braver than Loneliness and nothing will ever exhaust me.”
― Elizabeth Gilbert

"Really get in touch with what you believe. Your belief in something is the magic spark needed to make it real. You can believe things won't work out and they won't. You can believe that abundance is your birthright and you will be proved correct. Identify the beliefs that you have that are holding you back and day by day replace them with beliefs that push your forward. Over time, having faith and taking action on your belief will bring around the life you have believed in. The key is to have the faith that your belief is growing and to clear out all the weeds that prevent it's growth. Keep the faith, your Heart never lies." --Jackson Kiddard

"When you are inspired to manifest anything remember this is your internal GPS (Guidance Provided by Source) telling you the Fact and Truth of your manifestation. Your job is to do nothing but simply follow the directions of your GPS and everyday be ready to do what is required of you that day. You're never given more than you can handle and your manifestation is guaranteed if you surrender your fearful expectations and let your GPS show you the way. This is what is meant when Lao Tzu said, "The Tao does nothing, yet leaves nothing undone.'" --Jackson Kiddard

"If today was it, would you die knowing you did your best?
If tomorrow never came, would you be proud of the last thing you said to each person you  love?
If “someday” was only “now”, would you do everything you’ve always put off?
If you knew you had a choice about what kind of life you could be living, would you choose different?
If you knew failure is impossible, what would you do?
If it were true that everyone you meet is you in another body, how would you treat them?
If love was the true currency of the Universe and the more you gave away the more you received, how would you spend it?
If fear were the biggest illusion and the greatest lie of all time, how would you choose to live your life?
If the Universe always supported a life lived towards achieving dreams, how big would you dream?"

"Never again clutter your days or nights with so many menial and unimportant things that you have no time to accept a real challenge when it comes along. This applies to play as well as work. A day merely survived is no cause for celebration. You are not here to fritter away your precious hours when you have the ability to accomplish so much by making a slight change in your routine. No more busy work. No more hiding from success. Leave time, leave space, to grow. Now. Now! Not tomorrow!"-- Og Mandino

"Reality is what we take to be true.  What we take to be true is what we believe.  What we believe is based upon our perceptions.  What we perceive depends upon what we look for.  What we look for depends on what we think.  What we think depends upon what we perceive.  What we perceive determines what we believe.  What we believe determines what we take to be true.  What we take to be true is our reality." --Gary Zukav

My own commentary in parenthesis to the above....

"Reality is what we take to be true (is it truly "real" or skewed by our "take?")
What we take to be true is what we believe. (again is our "take" on truth skewed by our beliefs?)
What we believe is based upon our perceptions. (are we "preceiving" accurately or truthfully?)
What we perceive depends upon what we look for. (again, are we "looking" for what we want to see or what is truly out th...ere?) What we look for depends on what we think. (do we "ignore" that which is too painful to "see"...are our "thoughts" impinging on our ability to "truly" see?) What we think depends upon what we perceive. (how skewed are our "thoughts?")
What we perceive determines what we believe. (and if our "perceptions" are skewed, aren't there risks to those "skewed perceptions" tarnishing our beliefs?) What we believe determines what we take to be true. (which then completes the potential viscious cycle depending on our CHOICES) What we take to be true is our reality." --Gary Zukav (added comments in parenthesis)
