“You do not need to leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen. Do not even listen, simply wait, be quiet still and solitary. The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked, it has no choice, it will roll in ecstasy at your feet.”
--Franz Kafka

The world unfolds before me
When I walk through the marketplace
I carry the mountaintop under my robes"  --Japanese Monk

"Never again clutter your days or nights with so many menial and unimportant things that you have no time to accept a real challenge when it comes along. This applies to play as well as work. A day merely survived is no cause for celebration. You are not here to fritter away your precious hours when you have the ability to accomplish so much by making a slight change in your routine. No more busy work. No more hiding from success. Leave time, leave space, to grow. Now. Now! Not tomorrow!"-- Og Mandino

"We all have a choice—we're not victims of our lives, we're not victims of our circumstances. We can consciously choose to focus on the good stuff and it makes a big difference." - Mike Robbins

"Some people grumble because roses have thorns. I am thankful that thorns have roses." --Alphonse Karr

"Dreams do come true, if we only wish hard enough, You can have anything in life if you will sacrifice everything else for it." --James M. Barrie

"Awareness is something that is very important. And you say that it looks impossible to become what we really are, to be authentic, to be ourselves again. But I will tell you that it is much more difficult to try to be what we are not."--Don Miguel Ruiz

"You cannot hope to build a better world without improving the individuals. To that end each of us must work for his own improvement, and at the same time share a general responsibility for all humanity, our particular duty being to aid those to whom we think we can be most useful." --Marie Curie

"If you're trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I've had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it." --Michael Jordan

"Reality is what we take to be true.  What we take to be true is what we believe.  What we believe is based upon our perceptions.  What we perceive depends upon what we look for.  What we look for depends on what we think.  What we think depends upon what we perceive.  What we perceive determines what we believe.  What we believe determines what we take to be true.  What we take to be true is our reality." --Gary Zukav

My own commentary in parenthesis to the above....

"Reality is what we take to be true (is it truly "real" or skewed by our "take?")
What we take to be true is what we believe. (again is our "take" on truth skewed by our beliefs?)
What we believe is based upon our perceptions. (are we "preceiving" accurately or truthfully?)
What we perceive depends upon what we look for. (again, are we "looking" for what we want to see or what is truly out th...ere?) What we look for depends on what we think. (do we "ignore" that which is too painful to "see"...are our "thoughts" impinging on our ability to "truly" see?) What we think depends upon what we perceive. (how skewed are our "thoughts?")
What we perceive determines what we believe. (and if our "perceptions" are skewed, aren't there risks to those "skewed perceptions" tarnishing our beliefs?) What we believe determines what we take to be true. (which then completes the potential viscious cycle depending on our CHOICES) What we take to be true is our reality." --Gary Zukav (added comments in parenthesis)
